Little About Me

When I was little, my father had this drawing book of his artwork that he gave me. He was a really good artist, too. I had this book and I saw how good he was, and it inspired me to be as good as him, so I started to draw. I would take that book and, I would trace his drawings to try and get the feel for how to draw. Then as I got better, I would try to draw on my own. Gradually, I got better and better. If it weren't for my father, I would never had gotten into drawing. I thank him to this day.

When I was 12, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes and Bipolar Disorder. It was and has been a struggle to live life as I once did. I have been in the hospital numerous times for both, but the one thing that does calm me down is my art. It's a soothing balm. When I put on my earphones and play some music to sit down to draw, I just get lost in what I'm doing. There is nothing at all. Nothing that I have to worry about nor take care of. Everything is just focused on that  particular piece of art.

As I mentioned in my home page bio, I love the human figure. I started to get into the human figure when I went to college in 2007. They were doing the human figure in class and I just loved it. There is something about the curves and the lines that gets me. There can be so much depth or so little depth depending on the light or how young/old that person is. Before I really came into my own type of art, I really loved doing fan art. I did Disney characters, Anime, video game characters, and comic book characters. I have one piece mine that I love, and that is a video game character called Duku Link, which I did in about 10 different styles of gray scale. I also like to do fantasy art.

I hope that you enjoy my art. Plus, I hope to be putting a store in the near future, so that you can buy all my wonderful stuff. LOL. But seriously, thank you for reading and looking. Please enjoy and have fun looking!
